Today was the second day of our Costa Rica J-Term! The students were woken up and had breakfast at 9:00 am, before having some free time prior to our bus ride. After a swim at the hotel pool, the students packed up and left the hotel on a bus to Ojochal, home of our partner organization, Innoceana. After a stop for lunch, and periodic bathroom breaks, we arrived at the headquarters of MCEC Innoceana. Once the students had unpacked and gotten settled in their rooms, we were introduced to some of the staff, and had an introduction to the Innoceana organization, and the work they do in Costa Rica. After this, we tried on some equipment for our snorkeling expedition to Cano Island tomorrow! We also had a lesson about fish identification, which will be the focus of our excursion.
