As is the nature of folklore, there are many variations of these stories, and this collection is only a brief anthology of retellings that I found online. Borucan Legends The Pigs and the Two Villages Many people used to live along the Rio Terraba. The people were so numerous that they had eaten all the animals. The people were so numerous that they had eaten all the plants. All the wildlife was gone, except for one group of pigs. Some of the people chased these pigs with their bows and arrows. The people chased the pigs across the mountains. These pigs were too fast! Nobody could catch them. The pigs led the people to a lush valley of rivers and waterfalls.
